ConnectWiz for SMS

No app, no internet, no excuses: SMS still lands.

For reminders, verifications and the customers who never installed anything, SMS remains unbeatable. ConnectWiz runs it through your own provider account, at your rates, with consent enforced at the moment of sending — and replies landing in the same inbox as everything else.

Getting on

Bring your own provider. Keep everything you negotiated.

Sender IDs, compliance registrations, per-message rates — they took you months to set up. ConnectWiz plugs into them instead of replacing them.

Your Twilio or NetGSM

Paste your own credentials — encrypted at rest, never shown again. Your numbers and sender IDs appear as channels, and your provider relationship stays yours.

Senders as channels

Each sender identity is its own channel row — routable to its own department, with its own conversations, like every other channel in the workspace.

Capabilities asked, not assumed

Each gateway declares what it can really do — inbound or not, signed callbacks or not — and the panel reflects that. An alphanumeric sender is one-way by the physics of SMS, and the composer says so.

Refusal beats silence

NetGSM inbound is deliberately off until its callback format is verified against live traffic — and the panel says so by name. A road that’s shut with a sign beats a road that quietly eats messages.

Two-way inbox

Texts that are conversations, not receipts of a blast

Replies land in the queue

Inbound texts arrive as conversations — routed, assigned and answered by Wiz or your team. The reminder that gets a question back becomes a booking, not a dropped thread.

Delivery receipts, properly

Provider status callbacks walk each message through the same forward-only sent→delivered ladder as every channel — a confirmed delivery never regresses to "sending".

Segments stamped on the thread

Every send records how many SMS segments actually left — so "why was this month’s bill like that?" is answerable from inside the conversation, without opening your provider’s portal.

AI on a tight budget

SMS charges per message, so Wiz answers concisely by design — short, useful, single-message replies instead of three-bubble essays billed per bubble.

Verification codes built in

Phone verification flows (one-time codes) are part of the platform — the same rails that verify widget identities can verify a customer’s number here.

Numbers become people

Every SMS thread ties to the CRM contact — so the text, the WhatsApp and the email are one history, not three strangers.

The honest fine print

What we won’t claim about SMS

No price promises

SMS pricing depends on your country, operator and contract — so we assert none. Your provider bills you; we publish the segment counts that explain the bill.

No MMS

Picture messaging isn’t implemented on either gateway. An attachment on an SMS reply fails with a named reason instead of being silently dropped — but it fails, and we say so.

Alphanumeric = one-way

A branded text sender can’t receive replies — that’s how SMS works, everywhere. The composer knows it and won’t pretend otherwise.

No silent fallbacks

A channel reply never quietly re-routes through a different gateway or sender — better to fail visibly than to arrive from a number the customer doesn’t recognize.

Standard channel

What it costs

ConnectWiz side

  • SMS is a standard channel: one of your plan’s included picks, or $9/month as an add-on
  • The add-on covers the platform — inbox, AI, campaigns, consent — not a per-message toll

Traffic side

Your provider bills you directly, at whatever rate you’ve negotiated — ConnectWiz adds no markup and takes no cut. The segment counts stamped on every thread exist precisely so that bill is never a mystery.

Twilio for global traffic and NetGSM for Türkiye — using your own account and credentials, stored encrypted. Your sender IDs, registrations and per-message rates stay exactly as you negotiated them; ConnectWiz adds no markup and asserts no prices, because SMS pricing depends on your country, operator and contract.

No. Your provider bills you directly for traffic. ConnectWiz’s standard-channel add-on covers the platform — inbox, AI, campaigns, consent — not a per-message toll. Every sent message even records how many SMS segments actually left, so your provider bill is explainable from inside the thread.

On Twilio, yes — replies land in the team inbox as conversations, routed and answered like any chat. Two honest caveats: an alphanumeric sender ID is one-way by the physics of SMS, and NetGSM inbound is deliberately switched off until its callback format is verified live — the panel says so by name instead of silently dropping messages.

Consent is checked per recipient at the moment of sending — someone who opts out mid-campaign is skipped, and the skip is recorded with a machine-readable reason distinct from a delivery failure. STOP-style keywords are honored instantly with the customer’s own message kept as evidence, and for Türkiye the İYS registry integration pushes your consents and pulls opt-outs daily.
