ConnectWiz for Google Play

Premium channel

Google forgets your Play reviews in a week. We don’t.

Most teams don’t know the trap: Google’s review API only serves about the last seven days. ConnectWiz polls every 30 minutes so nothing scrolls out of reach — and puts Android feedback in the same queue, with the same standards, as your App Store reviews.

Getting on

A connect flow that diagnoses itself

Play Console setup crosses two Google consoles and fails in four confusingly different ways. We turned every failure into a named diagnosis — because "Something went wrong" is not a setup guide.

Service account, once

Create a service account, download its JSON key, grant it in Play Console — our guide walks each step, and the key is stored encrypted from the moment you paste it.

Six named failures

Malformed key, rejected key, missing permission, app not found, unreachable, or a plain failure — each one is detected separately and points at the exact console and screen where the fix lives.

Reviews with ratings

Review text and star rating land in the queue every 30 minutes — filterable by stars, assignable, and answerable in place.

Developer replies, in place

Publish your official developer reply straight from the desk — drafted by Wiz from your own content if you like, approved by a human always by default.

The queue

Stop running two review workflows for one app

One mobile reputation

Play and App Store reviews flow into one triaged queue — same routing, same drafting, same approval bar. The "how are the stores?" question gets one answer.

"Needs reply" by default

The home view shows only what’s open and unanswered; acknowledged praise files itself away and the crash reports stay visible until someone owns them.

Bulk triage, singular publishing

Assign, dismiss and draft in batches; publish one at a time, on purpose — a public reply is a considered act, not a mail merge.

AI with the safety on

Wiz drafts replies grounded in your knowledge base; every automation mode ships off, and on-demand drafts never post themselves.

Every Play locale

Reviews arrive in whatever language your users write; Wiz reads them all and drafts in kind.

An owner per review

Assignment, per-source unread badges and keyboard-first triage keep the queue moving — reputation work becomes a rota, not a guilt pile.

The honest fine print

What Google’s Play API allows — in writing

The one-week window

Google’s API serves roughly the last seven days of reviews — there is no backfill and no way around it, for anyone. Our answer is cadence: poll every 30 minutes, miss nothing while connected.

Reply is the only verb

Public developer reply — that’s the whole verb set. No hide, no delete, no private message; flagging abuse goes through Google’s own report tooling.

Answer here, not there

A reply written directly in Play Console isn’t reflected back through the API — pick one desk (this one) so "needs reply" stays truthful.

Polling, stated

No webhook exists for Play reviews; every tool polls. Ours is every 30 minutes, in writing — not an implied "real-time" nobody can deliver.

The reviews playbook

Running a Play desk that compounds

Worst first, always

A one-star review is a customer mid-churn and a public argument you’re currently losing. The needs-reply queue puts it at the front, with an owner and a clock — and Play’s reply window makes the clock real, not rhetorical.

Write for the next thousand readers

The reviewer may never come back, but every prospect reads the owner’s replies before deciding. A calm, specific, named-fix reply is marketing that compounds.

Tag the themes, mine the signal

Tag recurring topics — a bug, a delivery issue, a pricing confusion — and the reviews feed becomes a product signal your roadmap can actually use, not a mood you scroll past.

Better together

One mobile reputation, one queue

The App Store, in the same breath

The App Store desk runs beside this one — both stores’ reviews in one queue, one triage habit, one reply voice for your whole mobile audience.

Reviews beside conversations

The desk lives in the same inbox as WhatsApp and email — review triage is a morning routine inside the tool your team already has open.

One drafting voice

Wiz drafts replies from the same knowledge base on both stores — consistent tone, grounded answers, human approval before anything publishes.

Google side

The Play Console API is free — no per-review or per-reply fees. Your only requirement is a service account in your own Play Console, and the six-way diagnostics exist precisely to make that painless.

Before you connect

Through the official Play Console API with a service account you create. Setup crosses two Google consoles and fails in confusingly different ways — which is why ConnectWiz diagnoses six distinct failure causes by name, each pointing at the exact console and screen to fix, instead of one generic error.

Because Google’s review API only returns roughly the last week of reviews. A tool that checks "when someone remembers" permanently loses whatever scrolled past. ConnectWiz polls every 30 minutes, so while your channel is connected nothing slips through the one-week window.

Yes — that’s the point. Both stores' reviews land in one queue with the same routing, drafting and approval workflow, so your mobile reputation is one process, not two tabs owned by nobody.

No — Google’s API allows a public developer reply and nothing else. No hide, no delete, no private message. Our desk doesn’t show buttons that can’t work; flagging abusive reviews happens through Google’s own report tooling.

The window is seven days. The clock is running.

Connect Google Play before this week’s reviews become last week’s — and unreachable.
